Jordan Pickford did not have behavior that would be defined as exemplary during and after the match that the Everton won the Newcastle UnitedEdit on Thursday (0-1). At the end of the match, the 29-year-old goalkeeper was involved in an argument with Newcastle players who were unhappy with his behaviour.
During the match, the former Sunderland goalkeeper made a rude gesture to the fans who traveled to Liverpool, after the first goal of the match, by Dwight McNeil. Pickford was delighted with the goal and was seen kneeling to celebrate and then offering a shout out to the visiting fans.
Pickford had to be carried off the field by his teammates while Joelinton had to be carried off the field by the Newcastle coaching staff. There isn’t much love between the ‘magpies’ and the English international. And Pickford was at Sunderland, Newcastle’s main rivals, during his youth career and at the start of his professional career, in 2002.
