The Spanish Carlos Alcaraznumber two in the world, won the sportsmanship award presented annually by the ATP and recognizing fair play, professionalism and integrity, on and off the court.
Alcaraz was voted by his own peers as the winner of this award, named after him Stefan Edberg and in the past they won Roger Federeron 13 occasions, and Rafael Nadalfive times.
The Murcian, who succeeded the Norwegian Casper Ruud in the list of winners, is the fourth Spaniard to win this award, after Pepe Higueras, in 1983, Alex Corretja, who won it in 1996 and 1998, and the mentioned that Nadal.
