Historic! Buitrago is the youngest Colombian cyclist to win the Giro d’Italia.

At 22 years old Santiago Buitrago was achieved in 17th stage of the Giro d’Italia his first success on the three -week grand cycling tour and his second as a professional, after one achieved in the second round of Saudi tour last February.

A historic achievement, from 22 years, 7 months and 29 days, Santiago Buitrago became the youngest Colombian to win a stage in Italy is spinningexceeds the record of Fernando Gaviria founded in 2017 by Fernando Gaviria with his success in Cagliari (22 years, 8 months and 18 days).

Buitrago’s is the 32nd victory for Colombian cycling in the Giro. Last year there were two wins, that of Egan Bernal sa happy field and what Bernal himself achieved in Cortina d’Ampezzo.
