Prat and Tona ended 2023 with a draw in a very competitive match that ended in controversy at the end, when the referee disallowed a goal for the locals.
The ‘potablava’ team was eager to come out and Álvaro Cordero was the first to approach in the 7th minute, after a cross from Izan Maldonado. Then it was Izan himself who, after chaos in the area, sent the ball grazing the crossbar. The game gradually began to settle, although after half an hour El Prat had another clear chance from Dani Molina, who hit the ball against the crossbar. Then it was Tona who had a chance with a powerful shot by Dídac Serra that local goalkeeper Adri Rojas deflected for a corner.
The second half started with a clear chance for each side and then came Prat’s goal. Izan received a through ball from Dani Molina and it crossed out of Aroca’s reach. Izan himself forgave the second in a counterattack. Tona equalized late in the match with a great kick from Pius Quer.
And in the final moments, after a corner kick, Tomás Peñalba headed into the back of the net. Referee Ollé Lladó inexplicably disallowed the goal due to protests from the players and the local public.
