After three games without success, Burnley won again by defeating Fulham at the Craven Cottage stadium in London (0-2) on the eighteenth day of the Premier.
Reuniting success brings the Belgian team closer Vincent Kompany to safety. Burnley are still in the penultimate, but three points behind Nottingham, 17th and marking safety.
Rebecca Welch is making history
The match was historic as it was the first officiated by a female referee in the Premier, Rebecca Welch.
In the second half, Burnley took the lead on the scoreboard with the Frenchman’s goal Wilson Odobert a pass from South African Lyle Foster.
The visiting team maintained their form despite Marco Silva’s Fulham reaction. But at game time, the Norwegian Sander Berge received the ball from Wilson Odobert and beat again Bernd Leno.
Fulham suffered a second successive defeat but are still far from the bottom three places in the table, finding themselves in a comfortable 12th place.
