Pedro Porro classifies Tottenham and De Cordova, Fulham

Date:

A great goal from the Spaniard Pedro Porro Ten minutes from the end he gave victory and qualification to Tottenham, who advanced to the round of 32 of the English Cup at the expense of Burnley (1-0).

Like Fulham, Rotherham’s hangman, while Brentford and Wolverhampton, tied (1-1), had to play a replay.

Tottenham failed to beat Burnley in one of the third round Cup clashes between Premier teams. Australian Ange Postecoglou’s team failed to take advantage of their home status until the final stage. It was thanks to a great goal from the Spanish side.

Pablo Porro, from distance, from outside the area, took a shot past Kosovar goalkeeper Arijanet Muric.

The goal took Tottenham into the fourth round, where Fulham awaited, having previously asserted their first-place status at Craven Cottage against second-placed Rotherham United. A goal from Jamaican Bobby De Cordova Reid, in the 24th minute, tipped the balance of the match and sent Portuguese Marco Silva’s team into the next round.

Meanwhile, the clash between the two Premier Brentford and Wolverhampton also ended, playing a man down from the ninth minute due to the sending off of Joao Gomes, which ended, heading into the tiebreaker, a second game. On the brink of half-time, Neal Maupay put Brentford ahead, but just after the hour mark, Thomas Doyle gave Gary O’Neill’s side an equalizer, as they battled to the end to avoid elimination.
