1×1 of Espanyol against Villarreal B

Date:

This Saturday, Espanyol achieved a painful but important victory against Villarreal B thanks to two goals from Braithwaite in the first half. The parakeets didn’t know how to ‘kill’ the match and ended up in misery as the ‘groguet’ team fought back and had a tie on their hands due to the ‘sin’ of bad local football. Below one by one of the Spanish players.

1

Pacheco

Highly strung

The goalkeeper was infected with defensive weakness and gave the ball away in the 58th minute which almost ended up in the goal. It is not very demanding despite the attacks of yellows

Omar El Hilali

2

The Hilali

Advised

His first half was good, there was no problem marking the line, but the yellow card he saw interfered with it.

Sergio Gomez

3

Sergio Gomez

Demanded

It went from more to less, like the whole defense. In the second half, Villarreal’s attacks and lateral centers made them more difficult than necessary.

Fernando Calero

4

Calero

Handled

Like Sergi, after a good first half in which Villarreal could not get there, he had problems to tie the visiting counters, with Fores and Pascual stepping up.

Brian Oliva

5

Brian Oliva

Scattered

Adept at defensive tasks, although hesitant to cut in the second half, he lacked venom in attack although he partnered well with Expósito

Paul Lozano

6

Pol Lozano

There are gaps

The first half was good, supporting Aguado and getting points in creation, but it dissolved later, without control and with turnovers

Alvaro Aguado

7

Watery

Clairvoyant

The best chances of the first half came through his boots, but he thickened after the break and struggled to connect. He was replaced, a change he did not like

Edu Exposito

8

Edu Exposito

Assistant

He put in good crosses and was one of the most vertical in the first half, looking for a goal with no luck. Later it dissolved

Pere Milla

9

Pere Milla

sterile

He continued to hit in front of goal, even though he took the penalty for the second goal. He does piecework but receives little. He ended up whistling and getting the fans to applaud

Javi Puado

10

handful

Fallon

He worked hard to find unmarking and help in the middle to get free balls. He had a crossbar in the 61st minute

Martin Braithwaite

Eleven

Braithwaite

Goal scorer

He retaliated with two goals and is now the leading scorer for Espanyol and the Second Division. His quality decided the match and he celebrated it enthusiastically with a crowd that forgave him for his fear.

Salvi Sanchez

12

Salvi Sanchez

sterile

He provided freshness but lacked the success and resources to define the second half to be forgotten

Oscar Gil

13

Oscar Gil

Oxygen

For a defense that suffered greatly in the second half

Keidi Bare

14

Keidi Bare

muscle

To cling to a victory in danger until the last breath. It did not provide any stability

Keita Balde

fifteen

Keita Balde

Detuned

He had several chances, most notably in stoppage time to kill off the rivalry. There is no purpose

Jose Gragera

16

Gragera

Packing

To provide judgment and muscle in the midfield in the final stretch when the yellow team is pressing
