A crash in the first stage of the Tour de France ruined the chances of Richard Carapaz. The Ecuadorian fell to Enric Mas and, despite being able to finish the stage, did not start the next day. 2023 is not a good year for Carapaz, who wants to return to the path of success.
Carapace the year begins with Tour of Colombia and the Touring the United Arab Emirates. In March he will lead Education First in Paris-Nice. In April he will compete in the Tour de Romandie and in June he will finish his set-up for the Tour de France in the Tour de Suisse. On the 29th of the same month he will try to shake off the thorn of falling in the last Tour with a good performance in the ‘Grande Boucle’.
