The German Cup quarter-final match scheduled for this Wednesday, between third division Saarbrucken and Borussia Moenchengladbach, has been postponed due to heavy rain in recent hours which has made the grass at Ludwigspark unusable stadium.
Falling water left the playing field and, despite the efforts of the venue’s employees, the situation on the field did not improve. A few minutes before the start of the match, the referee decided to postpone the duel.
The clash between Saarbrucken and Borussia Monchengladbach is the only one pending to complete the quarterfinals of the German Cup. Fortuna Dusseldorf, Kaiserslautern and Bayer Leverkusen reached the semi-finals first
