Luka Romero, Almería forward, had to be transferred to a hospital in Vigo after suffering a strong and unintentional tackle from his teammate Pubill in a bad action. The attacker is being treated for a possible displaced jaw and is under observation.
The incident came just before half time and was incredibly unlucky. Romero goes for a split ball but he slips and Pubill comes in with a sharp cut with the bad luck that he hits his teammate in the face with his studs.
Luka Romero left the field of play on a stretcher and wearing a protective collar. Through their social networks, the Almería team hopes that Luka Romero’s injury is “absent” and that the footballer “can recover soon”.
