Celta B remains on three points after defeating Unionistas 0-2

Celta B played and won 0-2 as a guest in last Saturday’s match at the Nuevo Estadio Municial del Reina Sofia. The Unionistas will want to improve their numbers in the tournament after drawing 0-0 in the last match against Tarazona. As for the visiting team, Celta B just defeated Sestao River 4-0 at home in the last match held. With this good result, the Vigo team was fourth, while the Unionistas were ninth at the end of the match.

In the first half there were no goals from any of the players in each team, so the result remained 0-0 in the first 45 minutes.

The second half of the game started well for Celta B, who made their goal debut thanks to an own goal by Erik Ruiz in the 54th minute. The visiting team later scored, distancing themselves by making it 0-2 with a goal from Pablo Durán in the 79th minute, thus ending the match with a final score of 0-2.

During the match, both coaches used up all their substitutes. For the Unionistas, Ramiro, Rastrojo, Jiménez, Alfred Planas and Slavy came off the bench to replace Sergio Camus, Etxaniz, Mario Losada, Juan Serrano and Álvaro Gómez, while the changes for Celta B were Pablo Durán, Javi Rueda , Fer López, Miguel Conde and Bruno Iglesias, who came in for Dani González, Raúl Blanco, Alfon González, Pablo Durán and Hugo Álvarez.

In the match the referee only warned the home team with two yellow cards. In particular, Sergio Camus and Rastrojo were shown yellow cards.

With this win, Claudio Giráldez’s team is in fourth place with 46 points, in a playoff position for promotion to the Second Division, while the team led by Dani Ponz is in ninth place with 35 score at the end of the duel.

The next day, Unionistas will play against Lugo away from home and Celta B will play their match against SD Ponferradina at their home stadium.
