Cartagena’s police officer has been declared champion of Spain in this martial art in the master black belt category
The National Police of Cartagena, Manuel Trigo Mateo, has won the title of champion of Spain of Brazilian jiu-jitsu in the category of master black belt in Salamanca. It should be remembered that last year this athlete managed to win the gold medal in the European Cup of the International Federation. Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a martial art that focuses primarily on hand-to-hand combat, using takedowns, locks, locks, and chokes. Carlota Prendes from Cartagena also achieves many successes in this discipline.
Jimbee Cartagena’s blanqueño wing, Mellado, insisted yesterday that they can beat Barcelona this Saturday (Palacio de Deportes, 6.30pm) and advance to the league title ‘play-off’ in second place. The Spain international relied on the “statistics” of the past as on other occasions they have already beaten the Blaugrana and added four visits without losing to the Palau. “It’s still in our hands to be seconds,” he said. “Barça”, he recalls, is “the best team in the world and win all competitions, but we are studying it well and the fans will certainly help”. The team, he emphasized, plans to “do their best, reach the final and even become champions” of the league title.
The popular Paraíso Extrem race returns on Saturday 18 after two consecutive absences due to the health situation. The test is 7 kilometers long, crosses different parts of the Mar Menor and has a ‘wink’ on the poster, with a seahorse, justifying the status of the salt lagoon.
The race counts towards the Running Challenger Championship. It is organized by the Sports Club of La Manga and the Association of Disciples of Emmaus, of the Risen One. The number costs 12 euros. A donation of products will be made to the Food Bank and part of the collection of the numbers will be allocated, in case of benefits. The rest of the planned exhibitions and acts will be presented shortly. Registration is at ‘alcanzatumeta.es’.
