Cameroon: 62 players suspended for age fraud!

The FECAFOOTthrough various local media, it was announced this morning that 62 players from cameroonian championship were declared ineligible for the MTN Elite One Play-off for double identity and lying about their age. Among them is Nathan Douala, a Victoria United player of the A-League who is said to be 17 years old.

The matter threatens to leave a mark, especially on Nathan Douala’s club, which has seen seven players from its team suspended. The prize was earmarked for the training of the Yong Sport academy, which does not count among the 13 players in its team who have been declared temporarily ineligible by the Cameroonian federation. All this incredible controversy that threatens to tarnish Cameroonian football, led by Samuel Eto’o, which has already been marred by many controversies in recent months.
