“It was not an easy victory. It was a very difficult climb, at a high place. I felt colder at the end, I didn’t have enough oxygen. It was very difficult, but again it was a very good stage for team. and I’m happy with the victory because my teammates worked hard for it,” summarized the winner.

Pogacar remembered that Mikel Landa who attacked first, in the middle of the climb to the Port Ainé ski resort and 7.4 kilometers from the finish line, and he took advantage of this to gain the necessary momentum to escape alone.

“I went for it because I knew I had made room. Maybe it was a little early, but I found a good rhythm until the last two kilometers. The last two kilometers were difficult, but I managed to get there well (in the end).” he explained. .
