For Gonçalvesthe State must consider that there is sexual violence against a woman and that this crime cannot remain unpunished with the support of Brazilian institutions.
In this sense, the minister asked that the law prevail, ensuring that the sentence serves, because only in this way will society understand that women “must be respected.”
Robinho40, was found guilty of participating in the gang rape of an Albanian boy in a nightclub in Milan in 2013, during his time as a player of AC Milan.
The former forward, who appeared as a professional in Santos de Pele and played on real Madridwho also passed through Manchester City, did not serve his sentence because he returned to Brazila country that prohibits the extradition of its citizens.
The Italian authorities have asked the Brazilian Justice to approve the sentence and, consequently, determine the imprisonment of the former soccer player so that he can serve the sentence in his country of origin.
The Brazilian court approved the penalty imposed Italy in 2017 and ordered that the sentence be carried out immediately in a closed regime.
