The Spanish coach drew positive conclusions from the draw against Portugal, praising Morata and asking for patience with Ansu Fati, still without rhythm to compete

Luis Enrique drew positive conclusions from the draw against Portugal on Spain’s debut in this edition of the League of Nations. “It’s hard to withstand this pressure for 90 minutes, but the team was good, I liked it. We could have won, we could have won, but we could also have lost,” the Asturian coach analyzed moderately satisfied with the equalizer against a tough opponent.

“Morata may not be a player with stratospheric figures, but everything he gives us… He’s a great player,” he went on to praise the Asturian striker, again the one chosen to spearhead La Roja’s attack. “You have to trust the coach. Ansu comes to help us in the long run. He still doesn’t have the rhythm necessary for the competition, but he works,” he later explained, referring to the opportunity to bring the young pearl of Barca , still under construction and which the coach analyzes in the long term, with a view to the World Cup in Qatar.

“Now to rest and recover and as soon as we have time to watch and analyze the game. In general I am satisfied”, concluded Luis Enrique, with the vision of the glass half full.

“We played a good game, we lacked finishing, but there was also a great team in front of us, with very good players. Let’s keep working and thinking about tomorrow’s training,” analyzed Morata, author of the Spanish goal at Villamarín.
