A former of Chelsea filed for divorce after it was discovered through a DNA test that the children she was raising (twins born in June 2008) were not hers. The midfielder Geremi, 45, said the couple’s twins were born after his wife Laure had an affair with another man and it caused him a lot of psychological damage. The Cameroonian ace made 109 appearances for Chelsea between 2003 and 2007, scoring four goals. Geremi previously played for Real Madrid, between 1999 and 2003.
In a report, ‘The Sun’ explained that court documents from his native Cameroon say he “destroyed the harmony” of their marriage “with his bad behaviour.” They also mentioned their “repeated lies,” adding that “no child was born from this union.” The thought that they were hers prompted him to marry, “but the discovery that the children were from his former partner destroyed the couple’s harmony.”
