Olot took a giant step towards the league title after defeating Vilassar Mar, one of the most in-form teams in the championship, and thus overtook second place, L’Hospitalet, by ten points. Worth it was Roger Barnils’ goal, which was once again decisive.

Vilassar came out strongly and Adri García, in the 12th minute, and Elhadji, two minutes later, tried to surprise the Batalla goalkeeper. The local team responded through Marc Mas, who sent a shot over the crossbar.

In the second half, Olot came out a little more out of tune and two minutes later Baño stepped in to block Ufano’s header. Then Marc Mas tested him, with a free kick that went close to the crossbar; Pedro del Campo, with a shot too high; and Forés, who lost one on one to Baño. Batalla also had to intervene to save 0-1 with Aleix’s shot. Then came the lone goal on a free kick from Blázquez to the far post that Barnils headed home flawlessly. And in extra time, Blázquez managed to make it 2-0, but his screw shot just went over the crossbar.
