1-1. Sorloth scores and Haaland extends his worst drought as Norway misses a penalty

Date:

Even with the missed penalty, Erling Haaland extended his scoring drought with Norway, without a goal for the fourth consecutive game, as happened once before, between October 2020 and March 2021, and while he matched this Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Slovakia, where his teammate Alexander Sorloth scored a goal.

The Villarreal footballer put Norway ahead 1-0 in the 18th minute, with his nineteenth international goal.

Haaland then had the option to make it 2-0, but his penalty was saved by Marek Rodak.

Already in the final stretch, Duda equalized the duel in the 87th minute.

Haaland has not conceded an opponent’s goal since October 12, when he scored a double in a 4-0 win over Cyprus.

Slovakia is in group E of Euro 2024 with Belgium, Romania and Ukraine or Iceland. Norway did not qualify for the tournament.
