This Saturday starts World Cross Country Championships 2024 in Belgrade. The Serbian capital is preparing to host 485 athletes from 51 different teams who will compete in one day on March 30.
This will be the second World Athletics World Cup the city will host in just two years, after successfully organizing the 2022 World Indoor Championships.
Circuit
The circuit where the 5 World Cross Country races will take place is located at New center of Belgradein Friendship Park, right next to the Danube and Sava rivers.
This is the return of 1,887m with two additional straights of 270m and 320m that will serve as departure and arrival, respectively.

Careers
Included in the 2024 World Cross Country program 5 races to be played in one day on Saturday, March 30.
Trials sub20 will inaugurate the championship, with a race feminine 6 km and one man of 8 km.

Among the women, Kenya came in as a favorite after winning the last 8 women’s titles in the senior category. This time it will feature the defending champion Beatrice Chebet and the 10 km road world record holder Agnes Ngetich.
On the men’s side, Uganda presents a very competitive team with the defending champions Jacob Kiplimo and the three-time 10,000m world champion Joshua Cheptegeiwho is a bronze medalist at the 2023 World Cross Country Championship and champion in 2019.
