Marianne Vos showed class to win the classic Through Flanders

The Dutch Marianne Vos (Visma Lease a Bike)triple world champion, won the 7th edition of the Belgian classic Through Flanders contested the start and finish in Waregem and route 129.9 kilometers after overtaking compatriot Shirin van Anrooij (Lidl Trek) in a two-man sprint.

Vos (Hertogenbosch, 36 years old), also winner of 5 Walloon Arrows, achieved a symbolic victory, at least number 250 in his impressive record. Having recently won the Omloop, he once again showed his quality and experience against a rival 14 years younger.
