The electoral process for the presidency of RFEF after this afternoon it was finally fixed by Management Committee in the meeting held in person in Ciudad del Fútbol de las Rozas. The meeting that was supposed to be held on March 20 was canceled due to the intervention of the UCO.
It will be this coming Friday, April 5, and as established by the ministerial order that controls the electoral processes, when it officially begins. And it will be published on Saturday the 6th. Since Sunday the 7th, and in accordance with the Election Regulations approved by the RFEF and validated by the TAD; Candidates will have five days to present their candidacy. To do so, they will need the support of 15% of the current 39 members of the Assembly who have been in office since 2020 when Luis Rubiales won his last election. Assembly where 41 of its members are no longer there because they perform their duties outside of Spain or because they have retired.
Now we need to know how many candidates will run with it Pedro Rocha who has already announced his resignation next Sunday when the deadline opens to present himself. So it was from then when Rafael del Amoas we said this morning to the MD, who presides over the manager’s presidency during the weeks or the time the electoral process takes.
If there is more than one, the process will be extended until May, when the Assembly must vote on it. The date for the same is May 6.
If only Pedro Rocha whoever appears, a period of two days will be opened for charges. Once it is completed, it can be invested without needing any vote.
And always don’t paralyze the method is the challenge announced by Miguel Galán, based on the argument that these 41 members of the current 139-member Assembly no longer have this status. But it is worth noting that the TAD in its report last March 7 clarified that the manager “was born and exists according to laws with a single vocation: the calling of elections to exclusively fill the position of president.” It does not mention about filling up the vacancies in the Assembly.
Once this first process is currently completed, there will be a second for all governing bodies: Assembly, presidency and appointed Commission
Criminal actions against his attackers
The Management Committeewhich was led by Pedro Rochais also dedicated to information and events in recent days and even hours, in relation to the former president of the RFEF, Luis Rubiales. In this sense, it agreed to initiate criminal actions against all those who caused economic or reputational damage to this institution.
The governing body wants to categorically condemn irregular behavior and show its determination to “pursue them to the end.” In fact, several criminal law offices have already been contacted to launch them against those who acted dishonestly in the RFEF.
The Management Committee also reviewed the decision that the RFEF appears as a private prosecution in this case and, in addition, gave the green light to the forensic audit that will allow the collection of information about the actions under investigation in the period 2018-2023. In this sense, the intention is to help clarify all the facts and bring them to court, which will reach the ultimate consequences and leave behind a turbulent period that has seriously damaged the image of Spanish football.
Also, it made an executive summary of the sporting actions carried out in these management months for the celebration of all competitions and the usual activity of the institution that governs football in Spain.
