The metallurgical company ArcelorMittal has created composite rings that, together, are 29 meters long and 15 meters high from recycled steel produced in France, cast at the Châteauneuf plant in the center of the country and combined in Dunkirk, in the northwest.

The Eiffel Tower will be more prominent during the Games.

For months, it was thought that the famous monument would house the Olympic flame during the Games, but it seems that the cauldron will finally be placed in the Tuileries gardens, next to the Louvre museum, according to information not officially confirmed.

But the “iron lady” will be the backdrop for the opening ceremony, which will take place on July 26 on the Seine, where different delegations of athletes will parade the boats along a 6-kilometer route that will end at the Trocadero, in in front of the tower.
