Iker Lecuona will combine the National Supermoto with the SBK World Championship

The Honda HRC World Superbike rider, Iker Lecuona, No door is closed and if last year he stepped up to cover the defeats of Honda riders in the MotoGP World Championship – he rode seven Grand Prix – he signed with the SGR team to compete in the first round of Spanish Supermoto Championshipscheduled for April 13 and 14 at the Albaida international circuit.

The Valencian will enter the competition in the SMRoad category, asphalt only, where he will face a very high level of rivals looking to create a career in the world of speed. His association with SGR Honda will serve as a preparation for the next World Superbike events -Assen will be on April 19-21-, as well as for the continuous modification of the CRF450-R, a motorcycle that reaches its highest standard thanks to the work of SGR technical staff.

I have been racing supermoto since I was ten years old and I have known Engel all my life, it is without a doubt a very competitive and professional team. I consider this race, in a circuit as special as Albaida, to have fun and enjoy riding a bike again after several injuries and a very complicated start to the season,” he explained. Lecuone.
