This Tuesday we learned about the list of referees who will attend the Eurocup next summer Germany and where it is Jesus Gil Manzano the Spanish representative as the main referee with Hernandez Hernandez and Martínez Munuera in the living room VAR.
A total of 19 field referees, eighteen of them European including Argentine Facundo Tello, will act as the main referee. And where there is no female arbitration representation unlike what happened in 2021 where the Frenchwoman is Frappart who attended an appointment originally scheduled for 2020 but had to be delayed as a result of COVID.
There will also be no female representation among the 30 representatives appointed by UEFA to act as VARs and AVARs. There will be two Spanish representatives: Hernández Hernández and Martínez Munuera.
And the same is happening with the list of support referees who have also been appointed. Up to 12 will travel to Germany to perform these duties and there will be no female referee figure involved. Therefore, this continental national team tournament will not have a female referee, assistant, VAR or AVAR within the total of 80 referee members summoned for one of the great national team events this summer. It remains to be seen who the European representatives will attend the Copa América CONMEBOL.
