Thomas Tuchel, The Bayern Munich coach regretted not taking advantage of the second leg at the Santiago Bernabéu after today’s 2-2 scoreline at the Allianz Arena.
“We started very well and could have taken the lead in the first minute. Then we stopped following our plan. I do not know why. We conceded the goal and things became difficult,” Tuchel began to analyze after the match.
“We had a chance for a third”
After the break, Bayern came back from 0-1 down. “It was better in the second half,” Tuchel highlighted. “We showed more determination. We made it 2-1 and still had a lot of chances; we had to score the third goal. It felt strange.”
On the other hand, Real Madrid managed to equalize thanks to a penalty converted by Vinicius Junior. “They turned two chances into two goals,” Tuchel lamented.
2-2 left the swords high. “The situation is now clear. A victory in Madrid and then at Wembley. This is one game. For me the options are 50-50. Let’s see what happens.”
