Sean Dyche Everton coach, prevailed Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola as the best coach of April in the Premier League.
The English coach saved Everton for the second season in a row, this time overcoming two penalties of six and two points which saw the ‘toffee’ club hit throughout the Championship due to financial irregularities.
In the six games played by Everton in April they achieved four wins, one draw and one defeat. They beat Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, Burnley and Brentford, drew with Newcastle and lost against Chelsea.
Their victory in the Merseyside derby (2-0) was their first against Liverpool in fourteen years.
This is the third time in his career that Dyche achieved this award, after doing so with Burnley in March 2018 and February 2020, in addition to becoming the first Everton coach to achieve it after Carlo Ancelotti in September 2020.
