Third is South Korean Sungjae Im (69) with 8 under par after hitting the top of the pin with his tee shot on the par-3 17th and holing out for par from the bunker on the 18th.

Schauffele’s only birdies came on the par-5 7th hole and the short par-4 14th.. He found a greenside bunker on the par-4 12th and couldn’t get up and get down for par.

McIlroy took advantage making birdies on holes 5, 9, 10 and 14. He marked his approach shot at No. 5 and holed his ball within 4 feet; using a wedge for his second shot at the 14th, he rolled his approach to within 2 feet.
