West Ham could help hand the Premier League title in favor of Manchester City or Arsenal in Sunday’s thrilling finale, but David Moyes West Ham coach, assured today that his aim is to say goodbye to his position in the best possible way.

West Ham will visit City, the leaders with two points ahead of Arsenal who need to strengthen the team Pep Guardiola to be champions for the first time since 2004 as long as they also beat Everton at the Emirates Stadium.

Arteta is asking for help

So also Mikel Arteta The Arsenal coach also confirmed today that he hopes Moyes, who coached him at Everton, will give him a helping hand this Sunday. “He (Moyes) has been key to my career, as a footballer and as a person. He will help us achieve our dream and my personal dream, to win the Premier,” said the Basque coach.

Moyes’ response was: “Football is a strange game. You never know which moments will give you a chance to win and we have to try to take those chances when we can.”

“We’re not playing for Manchester City to lose the Premier League and we’re not playing for Arsenal to win the Premier League,” Moyes said bluntly. “We play for West Ham and we try to win the game for West Ham.”

“We’re not doing this for Declan Rice”

When asked if they would try to beat City like that Declan Rice who left West Ham for Arsenal last summer for €116m, could win the title, Moyes said: “Everyone here loves Declan, everyone will remember him. But we’re not doing it for Declan, we’re doing this for ourselves.”

Moyes will end his second spell as West Ham coach on Sunday, which dates back to 2019, after agreeing with the board that he will not renew the contract which expires on June 30.
