The binomial generated by Spaniard Marcel Ganollers and Argentine Horacio Zeballos qualified this Saturday for the big final of the Rome Masters 1,000 after winning in 2 sets, by doubles 6-4, against the American Ben Shelton and in Kazakh Alexandre Bublik.
Granollers and Zeballos continue to have an iron fist wherever they go. After missing out on the semifinals in Madrid due to an injury to the Argentine, in Rome they made sure to reach Roland Garros as number 1 with an authoritative victory against a rather atypical couple, consisting of two average individual players but who performed very well in the Foro Italico.
Without dropping a single serve and with a break on each serve, the Spaniard and the Argentine sealed their place in the grand final, where they will face Salvadoran Marcelo Arévalo and Croatian Mate Pavic.
Whatever happens in the final, the Roland Garros This is their first Grand Slam as number 1.
