Professional golfer Luke Willett breaks the world speed record for completing an 18-hole round

OnePlus, a global mobile phone company, and British professional golfer Luke Willett have joined forces to set a new world record for the fastest 18-hole round of golf with a recorded time of 36 minutes and 04 seconds. The world record-breaking 18-hole round was played as part of a larger tournament, in which Willett played two 18-hole rounds against other professional Speed-Golfing athletes from around the world. The strategy that kept him so fast and agile on the course was to reduce his set of golf clubs to just one.

This new record, achieved on the golf course Horton Smithwas witnessed and officially recognized by International Speed-Golf Association (ISGA), who is the official timekeeper and both use a double certified score sheet and a video for time verification. In addition, it should be noted that prior to this new record, Willett already held the World Record for the fastest round of 9 holes of golf, achieving a time of 20 minutes and 12 seconds in November 2023.
