The sinner continues to advance to the 3rd round of Roland Garros


Jannik Sinnerworld number 2 and current champion of Australian Opencontinuously advanced to the 3rd round of Roland Garros after overcoming the French Richard Gasquet by 6-4, 6-2 and 6-4.

In front of the eyes of the ‘Carota boys’, his loyal group of followers, Sinner finished the match in 2 hours and 15 minutes with a final winning serve.

Jannik, 22, had an impressive early season, but a hip injury interrupted his European clay court tour: he withdrew before his quarterfinal match in Madrid and he abandoned the Rome tournament with the intention of recovering well before Roland Garros.

Once in Paris, the Sinner sent positive signals with his two victories, against Christopher Eubanks and the aforementioned Gasquet. The Russian Pavel Kotov will be their rivals with a spot in the round of 16 at stake.
