Alejandro Blanco: “We have never had so much success in a year before the Olympic”

“Paris must give these athletes everything they deserve on this long path,” Blanco said in remarks to reporters at an event in Valencia, where he explained that he had “never” seen the athlete who is “very energetic.”

Blanco, who attended this Friday the event celebrating the centenary of the Valencia Club Atletismo, cited athletics as an example, because “it is immeasurable and in an extraordinary moment” and commented on the great form of María Pérez or Álvaro Martín .

“Paris has to give us everything the athletes have earned,” Blanco said, also stressing that it was the first time before the Olympic Games that it had predicted how many medals Spain would win, referring to the statements in which he asserted that they would exceed 22.
