Robert MacIntyre had a great day on Saturday which would allow him to face the final round of the RBC Canadian Open with a four-stroke lead.
Tied for the second round with Ryan Fox, MacIntyre shot a 66 to move to -14 at Hamilton Golf and Country Club. The 27-year-old Scottish left-hander is looking to make his PGA Tour debut after 44 appearances.
From nearby Dundas, Hughes shot a 67. He missed an eagle putt on the 17th and then bogeyed the par-4 18th.
Last year, in Oakdale (Toronto), Nick Taylor became the first Canadian to win the tournament since 1954.
Fox had 70 shots. He played the first five holes in 4 under par, with an eagle and two birdies, and then made four bogeys in the final 13 holes, three in a four-hole span midway through the back nine. Griffin bogeyed the 18th hole and shot a 65. Fleetwood (64) was 9 under with Sam Burns (67), Trace Crowe (67) and Joel Dahmen (69).
