Arkadiusz Milik is not included in the call for Poland for Euro 2024, as coach Michal Probierz confirmed after Friday’s 3-1 victory over Ukraine, where the Juventus forward was injured. The striker suffered a knee injury in the second minute of the match and was treated outside the pitch by medical personnel. The coach later confirmed that his chances of winning the European Championship were over.
It was a repeat of the last European Championship, when Milik was injured in Olympique de Marseille’s last game of the 2021 season and was left out of the Polish team. Kacper Urbanski, who replaced Milik on his debut against Ukraine, is in the squad for the tournament in Germany.
Poland has a final warm-up match against Turkey on Monday. In the Euro Cup they will face France, Holland and Austria in Group D.
