Carlos Alcaraz made history this Sunday by conquering Roland Garros for the first time. The Murcian defeated Alexander Zverev in five sets (6-3, 2-6, 5-7, 6-1 and 6-2) and more than four hours and added his name to the list of champions on the Parisian clay that he has Rafa Nadal as a great legend.
The Balearic Islands were certainly the first to react after the final. He did this, first, through his Twitter account, where he retweeted the official congratulatory message from the tournament organization.
“Charles I, prince of the land“said the message, along with a photographic montage of Alcaraz and the champion trophy.
A few minutes later he did the same via Instagram, where he wrote “Congratulations Carlos for this huge achievement!!!! Big!!!! So happy for your successes!!! let’s go“.
It includes a nod from Nadal to Alcaraz the possibility of becoming a couple at the Paris Games in just one month.
