Amazing scoring record in the Euro Cup

Date:

The four games played so far in the European Championship in Germany shows an offensive football that translates into a more than impressive scoring figure: the average, after the first two days of the championship, is at four goals per game.

16 targets among the first four rivalries, which did not leave, surprisingly, no doubles, much less a hat trick. And a own idealsAntonio Rudiger (accidentally) put Manuel Neuer in Germany’s 5-1 rout of Scotland.

These 16 points are distributed unevenly. Teams have a keener sense of achievement in first time than the second: in the first 45 minutes they have arrived 11 points and ‘only’ 5 after the break.

And in closer focus, the first quarter of an hour tops the most prolific stretch of the match: in those initial 15 minutes Teams that have already debuted in the Euro Cup are scored 4 points, 25% of the total. Among these goals, scored by Albania against Italy 23 seconds into the match, which is, by far, the fastest in the history of all Euro Cups played to date.

For now, there is one goal in the continental tournament every 22 minutes of the party. The official statistics UEFA breaks down the goals, by bands, as follows:

First time, 11 goals: 4 in the first quarter of an hour, 3 in the second and 2 in the third. For the second timefive goals: 2 in the first quarter of an hour, 1 in the second and another 2 between the 76th and 90th minutes.
