Belgium gave one of the big surprises on the first day (for the worse) by losing to Slovakia. In that match a draw was at least deserved, but a ball delivery error by Doku in defense and Lukaku’s bad luck up front prevented it. The attacker had two goals disallowed for offside and missed another two goals on goal.
The selection received a lot of criticism and Lukaku was the highlight. Well, against Romania, before minute 2 and in a brilliant start to the game, a great attack by Romelu and a shot from the front by Tielemans that stuck to the side silenced the criticism where they stood at the RheinEnergieStadion.
In action, the forward who played this season for Roma, protected the ball superbly and left it in front of him at the perfect moment for his teammate to shoot. Romelu Lukaku is more than just a goalscorer.
