Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) assured this Saturday after it was over fifth in the Austrian GP sprint race that fifth position is “more or less” where they belong.
Sainz, in remarks to DAZN, explained that “The weekend just got complicated again” and pointed out that this Friday “could only” be fifth and this Saturday, despite passing the British George Russell (Mercedes) at the start, he had brake problems.
“I had problems with the brakes. I had to cool them down and when they stabilized, I was able to maintain the distance with Russell and the British Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) behind,” commented Sainz.
The Madrid driver finished fifth in the sprint race held this Saturday at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, before qualifying this Saturday afternoon at the same Austrian circuit.
