Vingegaard is saved from falling out of the Tour!

Date:

He Tour de France he lives up to the time trial this Friday with two flat stages. But if there was already tension this Wednesday, Thursday was not exempt from the wind and power outages.

A day before it was Tadej Pogacar’s turn to avoid falling at the last moment and a stage later was on Jonas Vingegaard. A not-so-secure positioning of his team members, Visma-Lease a Bike, is on the verge of causing a real headache for the team.

In a tense moment on the stage, with a long straight and wind, with the peloton bunched together, cuts started to occur due to how the peloton entered the race. With no escapees, the battle for positions was constant and affected more than one.

The Visma-Lease a Bike team tried to gain positions on the right side of the peloton, but Vingegaard went through a very narrow gap and this caused his bike to collide with his teammate Lampaert. The Dane became unbalanced, right next to the shoulder, and had to use his reflexes to avoid a fall that could have turned the race upside down.
