The Dominican midfielder Peter Federico is the new reinforcement of the Getafe squad for the next four seasons after an agreement was reached with Real Madrid, the club that trained the 21-year-old footballer.
“Getafe CF and Real Madrid CF have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Peter Federico, who has signed as azulón for the next 4 seasons, until June 30, 2028,” Getafe made public.
“Trained in the Real Madrid youth academy, Peter is international in the youth ranks of the Dominican Republic national team and has been called to participate in the Paris Olympic Games,” added the azulón club.
Peter Federico, who was loaned to Valencia at the end of last season, is the second reinforcement to join the squad led by Jose Bordalás after Chrisantus Uche.
The Dominican midfielder played three games in Real Madrid’s first team. “Peter Federico won the UEFA Youth League in his youth phase with the white team. At 21 years old he has experience in LaLiga EA Sports, 3 games with Real Madrid and 15 last season with Valencia CF,” concluded club statement.
Real Madrid, for its part, wishes the player luck in his new professional venture. “Peter Federico arrived at Real Madrid in January 2016 at the age of 13. From then on, he played in all categories of our youth team until he played more than one hundred games for Castilla. In 2020, he was proclaimed champion of Youth League. He made his debut in Real Madrid’s first team in 2021,” recalled the Madrid entity.
