Luis de la Fuente and Julian Nagelsmann decided to move the bench at half-time of the quarterfinal match between Spain and Germany in Stuttgart (0-0).
The Spanish coach brought on Nacho for Le Normand, who saw a yellow card in the 29th minute for a challenge on Gündogan. The Real Sociedad center back has been warned and will miss the semi-finals due to suspension if Spain eliminate Germany. This is Spain’s second substitution after Pedri was replaced by Olmo due to injury.
On the German side, Nagelsmann backtracked on his bet on Emre Can as a starter and replaced him at half-time with Andrich, from Leverkusen. The other substitution before the start of the second half was that of Wirtz for an ill-advised Leroy Sané.
