The RFEF confirmed this afternoon the presence of royalists Jon Pacheco and Beñat Turrientes in the Paris Olympic Games that will start next July 24. The versatile player is also in the final list of 18 players Sergio Gomez, as expected, who will likely be a realistic new player this summer. The Olympic team has been concentrated in Las Rozas since July 1 and in a few days will travel to Paris.
The three players mentioned will, of course, miss Real’s entire preseason except for Spain’s defeat in an affordable group against Uzbekistan, Egypt and the Dominican Republic. If they reach the final, which is likely, they will return to Zubieta during League week, starting on August 12. The discards, although they will also travel, are Iturbe, Mosquera, Juanlu and Camello.
