USA Basketballthe American federation, announced this Wednesday that the Los Angeles forward Clippers, Kawhi Leonardis no longer on the men’s Olympic basketball roster.
“Kawhi “has been ramping up his Olympic roster in recent weeks and had some solid training in Las Vegas,” a basketball statement from USA. “He feels ready to compete. However, USA Basketball and the Clippers have determined that it is in their best interest to spend the remainder of the summer preparing for the upcoming season instead of participating in the Paris Olympics.”
Although it has not been made official, all indications are that his replacement on the Olympic team will be Boston Celtics point guard Derrick Whiteas reported by some American media.
