Date:

Carlos Alcaraz rejoiced after the victory of the Spanish soccer team in Euro 2024 and celebrated a “great Sunday for all Spaniards”, just hours after winning his second Wimbledon title.

“This is a great joy for all Spaniards, a great Sunday for everyone. I hope we enjoy it”Alcaraz told EFE while participating in the champions’ dinner where Wimbledon entertains the winners of the tournament.

Dinner was delayed because of the Euro Cup final

For the first time in the history of Wimbledon, the organization of the tournament decided to postpone the celebration of the traditional dinner of champions until 10:00 pm London time, ie at 11:00 pm in Berlin and Spain, so that’s it Carlos Alcaraz can watch the Euro 2024 soccer final between Spain and England.

Because of this, Carlos was able to celebrate the victory through social networks and published his congratulations to the new champions of the European Championship. “You’re great,” he said on the social network ‘X’.

“We’ll have to celebrate, right?” he wrote in another tweet, in clear reference to the joint celebration that the Spanish football team and Alcaraz will hold in Madrid this Monday to offer their respective trophies to fans in the Spanish capital.
