The teams for the Laver Cup to be held at the Uber Arena in Berlin on the weekend of September 20-22 have been confirmed. Stefanos Tsitsipas and Casper Ruud were announced as the final members to be a part of European team next to Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniel Medvedev and Alexander Zverev. Swede Björn Borg will captain the European team for the last time, as Frenchman Yannick Noah will replace him in the next edition of the competition.
Both the Norwegian and the Greek, number 2 and 12 in the ATP ranking respectively, will team up again after doing so in the editions held in Boston (2021) and London (2022).
For his part, John McEnroe has already committed Alex de Minaur, Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul and Ben Shelton, numbers 6, 11, 13 and 14 in the ATP rankings respectively, as members of Team World, with two more members to be named. McEnroe will have until the start of the US Open (August 26) to announce the finalists for the next edition of the Laver Cup.
Regarding the results of the editions of the tournament, the European team has surpassed the rest of the world combined four times since the first edition of the Laver Cup in 2017. Team Europe has won the trophy in 2017, 2018 , 2019 and 2021 The next two editions, those in 2022 and 2023, were won by Team World.
