Found dead after his disappearance during the closing ceremony of the Games

A woman accredited for Paris 2024 Olympic Games at the Stade de France, who disappeared after attending the closing ceremony, was found dead in Paris at the home of his companion, who was arrested, French news agency ATP reported, citing police sources.

“An investigation into the case of intentional homicide was entrusted to the second district of the Paris judicial police (PDJ) following the discovery of the lifeless body of a girl, age 21, in an apartment in the 18th arrondissement,” a statement from the Paris prosecutor’s office said .

According to police sources, an alarming disappearance was reported on Monday at around 7:25 pm. The investigation revealed that the victim was last seen around one in the morning from Sunday to Monday at Ney Boulevard.

At around 11pm on Monday, the missing woman’s family informed investigators that they received a text message from an acquaintance saying that the latter’s partner had done “something stupid”.

The police went to the latter’s house in the 18th district around 1:45 in the morning when they discovered the victim’s lifeless body, with a bruise on the cheek and “blood on the neck indicating the presence of a wound”.

The man, who was next to him “in a semi-comatose state”, was arrested and taken into police custody. The circumstances of the death have not been established by investigators.
