BALANCED COURSE
This year the 21 stages of the Vuelta have a total distance of 3,301.4 kilometers. 21 stages divided into 2 individual time trial days, 5 mountain stages, 1 flat stage, 5 stages considered by the organization as undulating and 8 mountain stages. In addition, this year the Vuelta passes through four districts of Portugal, 20 provinces and 9 autonomous communities in Spain.

Thus, 8,000 police and civil guards were mobilized for Vuelta security, in addition to 80 national police and 140 civil guards on motorcycles.
