The Belgian runner Thibau Nys (LIDL-TREK), with a time of 3:37:07prevailed in the first stage of Return to Poland of Cycling, argued this Monday between Wrocław and Karpacz (156.1 kilometers), and located leader in general.
Nys started in the last meters and won Wilco Kelderman (TVL), who led the group with Jan Christen (UAE) in the last kilometer. The Belgian cyclist left him in the final stage, to score his seventh victory of the campaign at 21 years old.
In second and third place, three seconds behind Nys, they were evenly matched Kelderman and the german Jonas Rutsch; while in fourth place the current runner-up of the Tour de France crossed the finish line, Jonas Vingegaard (EFE) in six seconds.
Raúl Garcia Pierna (Arkéa) is the best of the Spanish in 31 secondswhile Pello Bilbao (Bahrain) gave way 37 seconds including the Belgians.
The Belgian cyclist is first overall with a time, after the bonus, of 3:36:57, followed by the Dutch. Kerdermanto seven seconds, while English Lukas Nerurkar (EFE) was third at nine seconds, followed by Vingegaard at 16 seconds.
The second phase (time trial) will be held this coming Tuesday between the provinces of Myslakowice and Karpacz15.4 kilometers.
