The spanish national team has ended in eighth place in the madison track cycling test of Paris 2024 Olympic Games after the referees decide disqualify the Dutch duo for the cause of the fall.

The race doctor deemed Torres unfit to return to competition and Sebastián Mora had to complete the remaining 27 laps of the race alone.
“I am worried on a physical level, because I have a big blow on my wrist, but the most difficult thing is on a mental level. We have to accept that I have had to retire because the decision of the judges and doctors, who, due to the concussion protocol, force you to leave,” explained Torres.
“It’s disappointing because I was just thinking about going back to racing, Mora was waiting for me on the track. I think we are in a very good situation, although it is true that Denmark and Italy are leading the race after the round, at the time of the crash we are attacking. “I’m leaving sad because I didn’t finish the race,” he said.
